Abstract: Objective To study the safety and efficacy of interventional embolization in the treatment of complex directional anterior communicating aneurysm. Methods The clinical data of 15 cases of anterior communicating complex directional aneurysms treated by interventional embolization in Ruijin North Hospital,Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine in recent years were retrospectively analyzed. Results All the 15 patients completed embolization successfully.In fact,12 cases were treated with stent-assisted embolization and 3 cases were treated with double catheter embolization.All the parent arteries remained unobstructed,followed up for 6-24 months,no re-rupture and bleeding,13 patients recovered completely,2 patients had partial neurological dysfunction.One patient with simple embolization had partial aneurysm recurrence and was treated with stent-assisted embolization again,while no obvious recurrence was observed in the other patients. Conclusion Interventional embolization for complex directional anterior communicating aneurysm is safe and effective,combined with stent-assisted technology can further improve the success rate of embolization and reduce the recurrence rate.
